APCD’s mission is to promote barrier-free society and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Asia-Pacific.

Further, it is to develop networking and collaboration among Government organizations, NGOs, Community organizations and Disabled Persons Organizations in order to promote barrier-free society and empowerment of PWDs in Asia-Pacific.

A volunteer is required to assist with the development of a training manual. This would allow the local staff to develop their understanding and application of disability & development issues such as Inclusive Community Development, Empowerment of persons with disabilities and facilitation skills.

The suitable applicant will hold relevant qualifications and have extensive experience and demonstrated success in developing and documenting training programs. This training experience will need to be in a community development context.

The role will require patience, resilience and an understanding of the disability sector.
