The Republic of Palau, a north Pacific Island nation is situated 800 kilometres east of the Philippines and 3000 kilometres south of Tokyo. It has a population of 20,000 that is significantly increased by tourists attracted to its diving and natural beauty.
Palau College of Health is the means for the Ministry of Health to provide health education to staff and the community. This new program will focus on four core areas of professional development for Ministry staff - community education, partnerships with academic institutions and partnerships with schools. Your role as the administrator will be to document a sustainable education program addressing the needs of the Ministry and to provide a series of targeted evidence based community health educational programs via the College of Health. Determining health education needs of Ministry of Health staff and the wider community, promoting College of Health programs and supporting health education staff in appropriate education methods and techniques will be key aspects of this interesting role.
Use your background in administration planning, coordinating and reviewing health education programs along with your relevant tertiary qualifications to make a difference that to the provision of the ongoing quality of public health and clinical and medical services to the people of Palau.
