Would you like to play an important role in supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Australia?

We are seeking 2 suitably experienced Project Officers to join our Migrations Support Program. Using your casework experience and understanding of the refugee, asylum seeker, and community detention sector you will work closely with DIAC staff on program development and responses. You will also provide regular liaison, guidance and support on policy and responses to operational issues to State and Territory Office caseworkers who work directly with the clients.

Dealing in a sensitive and political environment, you will always need to display emotional resilience, impartiality, sensitivity and discretion. We would also expect you to have high level skills in liaison and relationship building, experience in leading projects and a tertiary qualification in Social Work or Human Services or equivalent.
