We are Australia’s largest and only not-for-profit Co-regulatory Arrangement operating under the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS). We work for our Members (leading IT brand owners), not for profit, providing a lean and sustainable arrangement to meet their liability under the Product Stewardship Act 2011.

We established and manage TechCollect, a national e-waste recycling service, which provides local communities and SMEs throughout Australia with a free and easy way to responsibly dispose of and recycle their unwanted computers, computer, computer accessories and TVs. We are currently expanding our operations into New Zealand.

As a market influencing business, our vision is to create a community which collects, processes and safely recycles electronic waste for responsible environmental outcomes. We have a large supply chain consisting of our Members, collection sites, transporters, recyclers, the public and all levels of government, and we engage heavily with all our stakeholders to improve standards across the industry.

The Opportunity

Due to an increased workload, a new Data Entry position has become available. You will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills coupled with strong administration skills high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. An immediate start is available for the successful applicant. The role is offered as a casual, position based in our Melbourne CBD office reporting to the Finance and Member Services Manager.

The role encompasses:

  • Printing, electronic filing and preparing documents for data entry
  • Entering data into the program database and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
  • Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information from suppliers for incomplete documents
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to time constraints
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers and management
  • General administrative support
  • Providing customer support for general enquiries by telephone

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

  • Administration and data entry experience would be an advantage

Skills

  • Intermediate level of computer literacy in all MS Office applications and a working knowledge MS Access would be an advantage
  • General office administration and support
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen, communicate accurately and concisely
  • Demonstrated highly effective time management skills, highly organised and ability to prioritise a busy workload and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete work to a high standard
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative, coupled with an ability to work as a productive member of the team
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Interest in environmental issues and/or recycling
