Our client is a community focused not-for-profit organisation with an ever-growing range of psychological and community support services. They are taking a leadership role in the provision of high- quality, effective services for a wide range of community groups.

About the Role

The organisation we are representing is looking for a General Manager - Mental Health. The role will assume responsibility for all the organisations services within the Mental health Services Unit.

Key duties

• Oversee the delivery of high quality, effective services through a client centric lens across all locations and remote services.
• In collaboration with the SLT implement a strategy for growth, expansion, and innovation within the mental health services unit.
• Build on networks and stakeholders to drive the profile and involvement of the organisation across the various sectors and communities, including establishing strong networks within State Government departments.
• Maintain high levels of clinical and practice governance with a focus on preventing incidents and complaints, and ensure practitioners adopt evidence based therapeutic frameworks, receive quality clinical supervision, and maintain relevant professional development.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (such as Psychology, Health, Social Work)
• Extensive senior management experience within the mental health services sector with a sound understanding of clinical and practice governance principles and practice.
• Well networked within the mental health sector with a good understanding of Federal and State funding structures, and a demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at a senior level.
• Strong operational experience with demonstrable experience managing mental health services and teams across a variety of community services

Desired Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a therapeutic practitioner within the community services sector with a strong understanding of clinical governance
• Formal qualifications in leadership or management
• Demonstrable experience in driving digital technology applications within clinical services.

You will also have or be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
