On behalf of the 30x30.org.au Campaign the Pew Charitable Trusts invites applications for a National 30x30 Campaign Coordinator.
30x30 represents a global commitment to conserve 30% of the Earth's lands and seas by 2030, a crucial effort to safeguard nature and ensure a sustainable future. Within this worldwide endeavor, the Australian 30x30 campaign stands out as a coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) dedicated to ensuring the Australian Government meets its 30x30 commitments in a way that benefits the entire nation.
This coalition brings together influential organisations such as the Conservation Council of South Australia, Queensland Conservation Council, Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Environment Centre Northern Territory, Cairns and Far North Queensland Environment Centre and The Pew Charitable Trustswith the aim to advocate effectively for the unique challenges and opportunities that come with implementing the 30x30 targets in Australia.
The campaign’s efforts are directed towards two main objectives: advocacy to increase public awareness and support for the 30x30 goals and influencing policymakers to develop, implement, and fund effective strategies for the long-term realisation of 30x30 commitments.
The National Campaign Coordinator for the 30x30 Campaign will play a central role in coordinating the campaign's nationwide efforts to ensure that 30% of Australia's lands are conserved by 2030. Reporting to the 30x30 Nation Campaign Manager, this role is crucial in facilitating the execution of the campaign's strategy, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and supporting the campaign's objectives.
