Perth City Farm is a not-for-profit urban farm that harnesses the power of nature and community connection, bringing people together to learn about sustainable living. Our East Perth site is Perth’s original sustainability hub and we’re celebrating our thirtieth birthday in 2024.

The role:

Our Accountant ensures the smooth running of the finances of Perth City Farm, playing a vital role in helping the organisation create connected, sustainable communities.

Using existing procedures, they take care of all our day-to-day accounts processing tasks, with some bits outsourced to an external bookkeeping firm. This role creates useful financial information- budgets, reports etc- that helps the CEO, staff and the Board make good decisions. They ensure we’re on top of all our reporting requirements and paying staff correctly according to the awards. This is a permanent part-time role of 27 hours per week.

The requirements:

You are a dynamic accounting superstar, highly organised and efficient with the energy to support your colleagues to understand the financial information you produce. You enjoy diversity in your work and will be motivated to spot ways for us to deliver our programs better. Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role in a non-profit environment, and an interest in sustainability and community development.
