This inspirational organisation support children with illnesses, injuries and conditions across Queensland and the scope and impact of their work runs far and deep.

They raise vital funds that go towards life changing research, lifesaving medical equipment and key improvements to clinical care. They are working to provide children and families with faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for some of the most devastating childhood illnesses and injuries.

The impact you will have in this role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising and supported by an agency partnership, this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate fundraiser to lead the transformation of the Individual Giving program and mass campaigns.

Key responsibilities include strategic oversight and the success of the Individual Giving program, mass events and peer to peer fundraising campaigns and donor support services.

We are searching for a strategic fundraiser, a genuine collaborator, and a do-er who will lead and grow a talented team, build strong relationships across agency partnerships, and who will work closely with all internal stakeholders on the journey to lead the IG and mass campaign programs through continued transformation, innovation, and success.

You will be supported by an experienced and inspiring leadership team who are committed to the long-term growth of the fundraising program that directly impacts the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a fundraising strategy for the mass marketing portfolio which includes Individual Giving, peer to peer campaigns and donor services.
  • Oversight of a multi-year, multi-channel fundraising strategy across both acquisition and retention.
  • Key focus of the role is to manage the ongoing development of the multi-channel Individual Giving program (RG and single giving), with a focus on direct mail and email across both acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Build inspiring and engaging donor journeys, recruitment, retention and communication plans across the programs.
  • Manage the new product development lifecycle across mass fundraising products, improving digital fundraising tactics and capabilities.
  • Work with agency partners to optimise existing and develop new digital peer to peer products and lead on the end-to-end management and delivery of campaigns.
  • Optimise the use of a range of digital channels (email, web, socials, mobile, online content monetisation etc) to acquire, inspire and retain donors across the peer to peer program.
  • Bring a data led approach to all mass fundraising activity.
  • Budget and reporting responsibility across mass fundraising channels.
  • Manage and grow the team across the portfolio and bring an authentic, passionate, supportive and inspiring leadership style to the role.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience building strategies and delivering programs across a range of mass fundraising portfolios with a technical background in Individual Giving (cash and RG).
  • Knowledge of peer to peer campaigns and the ability to lead on digital campaigns.
  • Digital knowledge with experience in utilising digital tools to develop fundraising programs.
  • A background in developing engaging and inspiring donor journeys and recruitment, retention and stewardship plans for a range of mass audiences.
  • Acquisition and retention experience with a background in developing multi-channel strategies for mass audiences.
  • Product development experience with an innovative, inspired and ambitious approach to campaign development.
  • A data driven fundraiser who analyses and applies data insights to improve results.
  • Experience in budget management with the ability to report back on performance across a broad fundraising portfolio.
  • An enthusiastic, dynamic, nurturing and goal driven approach to people management with the ability to inspire and engage a team across a range of fundraising programs.
  • Target driven with a passion for innovation and a trial and test mentality.
  • A dynamic and driven fundraising professional who is excited to join a team on a journey of growth and transformation across fundraising.
