LiverWELL Incorporating Hepatitis Victoria

LiverWELL (previously Hepatitis Victoria) is seeking two new Board Directors to contribute to the governance and oversight of its ambitious new strategic plan. LiverWELL’s vision is liver health for all Australians, by preventing and reducing the impact of liver disease and contributing to the elimination of viral hepatitis by 2030.

LiverWELL is a non-profit company limited by guarantee (ACN 634 668 205) and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. In operation since 1982, our activities span advocacy, awareness raising, health promotion, community engagement, workforce training, and systems strengthening.

You will serve as a full board member and join a talented, passionate, and future focused board. You will be encouraged to actively participate in at least one of the Board sub-committees which include the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, the Strategy Committee, and the Governance Committee.

We have a diverse set of skills and experience amongst our existing directors. We are now seeking candidates for non-executive director role and those with the following experience would be highly regarded:

  • Government engagement/relations and understanding of current government priorities.
  • Interest and skills in funding diversification, for example fundraising, philanthropy, grants

It is expected that candidates will have a strong understanding of governance and the role of a board in governing an organisation. Preference will be given to candidates with proven board experience.

Our directors contribute their time and effort in a voluntary capacity, with reimbursements for travel and appropriate costs. Investment in professional development.
