Join our dynamic Child Adult and Family Therapies program at BHN! Work alongside experienced professionals committed to delivering high-quality care to clients. Multiple positions available, on a temporary part time basis till December 2024. No late nights or weekend work required.

The Paediatric Allied Health Assistant is responsible for supporting the Child and Family professionals in the provision of therapy activities in a Community Health setting.

Support the Paediatric Teams in providing client centred care with best practice standards in order to help clients in the community live a higher quality of life by supporting them to meet their goals. Our team has a focus on delivering support for the local community, making a real difference to our clients and families lives.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To assist in developing and facilitating groups under the supervision of the appropriate Allied Health Professional.
  • Provide practical support and treatment to individual clients under the supervision and direction of the appropriate clinician.
  • Effective time management to meet KPIs for direct client contact time for both individual contacts and groups.
  • Maintain appropriate client records in TrakCare including statistics, progress notes, discharges and event bookings in accordance with BHN policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and staff.
  • Ability to interact with clients and deliver excellent client centred care.

Requirements and attributes:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Strong commitment to client-centred care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and objectives
  • Current Victorian driver's license and First Aid Certificate (desirable)
