The Role - Partnerships & Community Fundraising Manager

Working closely with the CEO and COO, the Partnerships & Community Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in driving SOA’s fundraising efforts, fostering corporate partnerships, and spearheading community fundraising initiatives. Your dedication and expertise will directly contribute to their mission of empowering individuals with an intellectual disability through sports.

You will leverage your innovative approach to develop and implement an ESG driven corporate partnerships strategy and be hands on in identifying and securing value aligned partners. You will drive national activations lifting SOAs partnerships program to new heights.
In addition to growing the SOA brand within the corporate landscape, you will also engage and manage existing partner relationships to ensure ongoing support.

As the role evolves, you will lead on the fundraising strategy ensuring that a clear donor journey is in place. Collaborating with the Brand and Community Engagement Manager, you’ll nurture communications with individuals through workplace engagement, digital campaigns and engaging content.

This is a strategic, hands-on role that also requires you to be an influential fundraising leader, supporting and guiding Club / State volunteers, committees, peers and the leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a creative fundraising strategy to support programs and initiatives
  • Establish and nurture strategic corporate partnerships to drive long-term financial support and community engagement
  • Create and deliver a national fundraising events portfolio
  • Develop impact reports for partners and the Board

Your Skills and Attributes

  • Proven track record of cultivating successful corporate partnerships and securing financial support - including new business development and existing account management
  • Broader experience across marketing, event management or fundraising
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial agreement negotiation and delivering on contractual agreements
  • Success in delivering income generating initiatives working towards income targets
  • Experience delivering impactful fundraising events that drive income
  • Confident building collaborative relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Thrive working in a team and autonomously within a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong ability to work under pressure managing projects with competing deadlines
  • Alignment to SOAs Vision and Mission - a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
