Lead the strategic development, planning and implementation of the Agency’s regional service delivery model to enabling community access to services at a local level.

The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities provides support services across child protection, domestic and family violence, youth justice services, multicultural affairs and senior’s recognition. The agency brings together many of the key functions that work together to create stronger communities where children experience safe, healthy and happy childhoods, women and men from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds have equal opportunities, and senior Territorians are appreciated and respected.

As Deputy CEO, Regional Services, your primary objective is to provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure regional areas are empowered with the necessary resources and capabilities to ensure their effectiveness and ability to deliver positive outcomes for their communities.

Working with the Senior Executive Group, you will drive whole-of-agency accountability for the delivery of client and community centred, integrated, place-based services; the design and implement integrated remote community service hubs; and provide high-level strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Ministers and key stakeholders on matters relating to regional service delivery and implementation on integrated remote service delivery models. You will also lead and implement the agency’s strategies and ensure cross-service integration for Housing; Children and Families; Youth Justice; Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Reduction, Community Participation and Inclusion: and Sports and Recreation, to ensure the delivery of place-based, client and community-centric services.

In addition, you will collaborate with Strategic, Performance and Enabling Services to provide oversight for budgets and funding models and advocate for necessary resources to ensure regional areas are empowered and supported in order to meet their community needs.

To meet the challenges of this strategic role you require demonstrated success leading a large multi-disciplinary team in a complex operating environment, an understanding of current and emerging social issues in the Northern Territory context with proven political acumen, and a record of achieving outcomes.
