The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body representing, advocating, and supporting Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and family support sector.

By sharing our collective knowledge and experience, we can all make a positive impact on policies and practices to stop the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Queensland’s child protection and youth justice systems.

About the role

QATSICPP is currently recruiting a number of general and experienced administrative positions to be based at its Brisbane office. If you are early in your admin career, or are a seasoned administration and diary manager, these opportunities will provide a unique chance to engage across teams overseeing diverse business functions.

Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience, with options for both full-time and part-time employment (minimum 22.8 hours per week).

To streamline the recruitment process, we are establishing a merit pool to fill these vacancies efficiently.

Typical Duties and responsibilities:

Are you early in your admin career?

  • General reception duties including answering and directing, emails, calls and messages, responding to general inquiries and provide information about QATSICPP and our member organisations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, order processing, filing, photocopying, event and catering administration and maintaining asset registers and office supplies.
  • Book and manage travel and accommodation for events.

Are you an experienced administration officer?

  • Provide diary management and administrative support for meetings, including the preparation and dissemination of meeting documentation and minutes.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the setting of administration team work priorities
  • Maintain a calendar of leadership and staff meetings and coordinate agenda papers.
  • Work with the team to develop systems and processes that support and enhance the administration function.
  • Assist with coordination of projects to meet targets and objectives.

What you will do daily

  • Collaborate with other teams to facilitate effective communication and support daily operations.
  • Support creation and control of office documents and ensure records management activities are undertaken.
  • Maintain and continually enhance the administrative procedures and processes.

Desired skills, experience, and capabilities:

  • Competency in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of organisation and time management skills.
  • A positive manner and strong desire to show initiative.

Mandatory requirements:

  • A current valid Queensland Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.
  • Drivers Licence (preferable but not mandatory)
