Role:

We are looking for an Operations Officer to play a critical role engaging with staff across ACCR to ensure the efficient delivery of our strategy.

You might have a background in administrative, operations or project management roles, or have otherwise demonstrated the required skills - either way, you see this role as an important part of your career.

The position will sit within our Operations Team, reporting to our Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

This role will provide general operational support as needed across ACCR. Examples of the types of tasks that are likely to form part of each role are:

  • Overseeing staff travel including liaising with travel agency, communicating and ensuring adherence to travel policies and procedures, assisting with bookings and management of travel allowances as needed.
  • Office management; coordinating office space, setting up and overseeing the logistics of booking meeting rooms, making meeting arrangements and ensuring offices are equipped and meet OHS standards.
  • Facilitating effective communication across the organisation by coordinating the agenda and participation at staff meetings and assisting to organise and manage the logistics at staff gatherings.
  • Supporting Human Resources management including advertising new positions, updating recruitment platform.
  • Manage the documentation of our External contracts register, tracking key dates of contracts and ensuring data is saved and up to date.
  • Supporting staff engagement and the development of a positive workplace culture e.g. organising social activities, birthday cards.
  • Preparing documentation and managing logistics for other ad hoc admin e.g. taking meeting notes, helping to maintain systems and data integrity, webinar set up.
  • Working with Operations colleagues to take full advance of ACCR’s tools and systems within the Operations and Finance team.

Criteria

You may not have done this type of role before, yet we are looking for someone with relevant experience, including the following:

  • Experience in an administrative, operations or project management capacity.
  • The ability to learn quickly and accurately follow process.
  • An aptitude for using technology across a range of tools, with experience of the following tools an advantage: Microsoft and/or Google suite of applications, a CRM such as Salesforce, online conferencing platforms such as Zoom, events software such as Eventbrite, and workflow tools such as ClickUp.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, planning, organisational and project execution skills.
  • Professional written English communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, experienced and passionate team environment.
  • Proactivity and agility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing workplace.
  • The ability to work within a dispersed virtual team, including joining quarterly in person team time and occasional evening calls with colleagues in different time zones.
  • Integrity in managing confidential data.
  • A strong affinity for ACCR’s mission addressing climate change, and our values including valuing diversity.

Background:

ACCR is a non-profit shareholder advocacy and research organisation founded in 2012. We use shareholder strategy to enable investors to escalate engagements with heavy-emitting companies in their portfolios, and provide research and analysis for institutional capital seeking long term value in a zero-emissions economy. Thanks to a heightened awareness of the importance of our work, and the urgency to act on climate change, we are growing rapidly.
